LONDON BABY!

Well today was the day of the trip to London! Yay! Here's a review of it:

People present: Becky Lamb, Steve Tilson, Ian Thomson, Joy Shannon, Laura Foster and I'm sure there was someone else...hmm..er oh yes Becci Noake!

Activities Undertaken:

catching bus
Waiting at Waterloo Station
greeting everybody
catching tube
going to Science Museum - looking at exhibits, waiting for Ian on numerous occasions, eating lunch, using crowded toilet, going in lift, taking photos
Catching tube
Window shopping in Covent Garden
Listening to buskers - very good string quartet plus freaky man in white coat
Catching bus
Watching Eastenders omnibus (not technically part of the trip but major part of my day as was 3 hours and nearly made me cry cos it was Nana's funeral)

Most exciting discovery: there is a place on Mars called Baker's bench - now one of my lifes ambitions to sit on it and look at the Lamb rock!

Most shocking discovery: my tuna mayo sandwich had 1549 calories in it - I KNOW! its more than a BLT or a chicken salad sandwich - crazy!

New interesting fact learnt: the average 18 year old knows 60,000 words

Most time spent waiting for Ian: about 15 mins he was on 3rd floor we were in the basement! hmm!

Most potentially embarassing moment: Becci making me lie down in museum for a photo - luckily there was no one about!

Coldest moment: listen to buskers in Covent Garden market

Warmest moment: squashed in lift at Science museum

Most thought provoking exhibit: first prototype of the clock of the long now: just how long is now? I don't know!

Most aptly named exhibit: in the history of the toilet - there was actually one made by a company called "crapper's"

Well that's about it for the day there would be some lovely photos but computer is being too slow to upload them - maybe another time

Palace

Well hope you're all recovering from the joys of Christmas! There does seem to be a bit of a lull at the moment well until tomorrow! Yay! can't wait till then should be coolies! Actually am excited about tonight as am going to Palace for the first time since Sept! Can't wait to shout chant etc. in fact might warm up voice now:
"Oi ref",
"Ian Dowie's red and blue army", "We all follow the Palace, over land and see AND BRIGHTON!" (we don't like Brighton for some reason?!?),
"and i'm feeing [clap clap] glad all over, yes i'm [clap clap] gald all over, baby i'm [clap clap] glad all over now that you're mine",
"E I E I E I O up the football league we go, and when we win promotion this is what we'll sing we are palace, we are palace up the football league"
anyway i think i better save the rest till later! So if i'm croaky tomorrow you'll know why. i may also be deafened in my left ear by my Dad! and slightly frost bitten - it's so cold.

Went to see Micheal Flattley's Lord of the Dance yesterday it was amazing - i've never seen feet move so quickly! wish i could do stuff like that oh well i doubt my joints could take it now!

How do you play pinball by sense of smell? Just wondering cos song listening to just said that.

Anyway hope all had a good Christmas - I did by the way should have said before oops

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE EVE

Well not feeling quite as festive as yesterday but happy Christmas eve eve anyway. Seems not many people were feeling festive yesterday (from the general tone of texts received in reply yesterday) but can i suggest you all listen to the best Christmas song - now you all know which one don't you?!? So here it is merry Christmas by Slade it helps alot! Hey they just mentioned that its Christmas eve eve on the radio so obviously not as crazy as you all thought i was huh!?! But they're not playing Slade they've got some other much less exciting christmas song on boo!

Proof Beckrum's to blame!

Well i've finally managed to get journal articles hurrah! well done for all your good vibes. But i have proof my failure before was all Becci's fault:
1st attempt this morning failed then find out Becci was online
2nd attempt without Becci online success! So there you go we were right to blame her all along!

Here goes...

Well i'm about to try and download journal articles again! so everyone send good thought vibes to the internet. and Becci if you could just stay away from anything vaguely technological i'd appreciate it! Thanks

AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Why does the internet hate me? Am sooo frustrated right now am comtemplating throwing things accross the room! Infact i think i will ....CRASH! Have been trying to download journal articles and lecture notes for the afternoon and none have worked! What have i done to the internet to deserve this!

At least i'm attempting to do some work...plus actually managed to do some filing of notes yesterday despite lack of motivation though i guess this is only really pseudowork and am still putting off the real thing.

Anyway am going to read a book that hopefully will let me open it ... though with today's history i'll probably find all the pages are stuck together grrr!

Motivation

Motivation is a weird phenomenon....for the last three days i've woken up and really wanted to do some uni work but not been able to. Then today when i do have time to do some i have absolutely no motivation! So so far today have procrastinated by:
washing hair (though this was absolutely necessary!),
wrapping up Christmas presents (had to take oportunity of both parents being out),
planning route to Newtown (though still undecided!),
eating lunch (needed brain food),
watching neighbours (had to keep mum company obviously),
tidying room (obvioulsy can't work in a mess),
singing carols (in rehearsal for Friday's carol singing outside Herne Hill station),
reading novel (broadening my mind),
watching countdown (to improve vocabulary in advance of writing essays - actually learnt useful word: delation - the act of reporting a crime to the police),
and now am writing new post (this was a result of checking e-mails [in case e-mail sent by uni saying no need to do essays] and seeing beckrum had left comment)
So really my lack of work is all Becci's fault! ahah! I knew it wasn't me!
Anyway best go and put chocolates on the tree (before they get eaten/melt or another disaster befalls them)

Success - am genious!

Hurrah worked it out it seems the site thought i was in Los Angeles not London so the time zone was wrong - technology huh?!?

Time!

Just noticed the clock is wrong on my blog - hmmm how to change?!? Its actually 6:50pm!

Christmas!

Am feeling fairly festive as have just completed my Christmas shopping hurrah! Althought there were no exciting incidents like those of Becky - see: there's no such thing as natural beauty, for more details. My nail is no longer shiny!

Carol service was great - i got to play flute though didn't realise when i agreed it would be just me and a piano! speaking of which i got to play that too for the choir - i know what your thinking "i didn't know she could play the piano" but there's something you should realise i only had to play four notes - and none at the same time either! It was so they could sing accapella on the right note. I did get a few compliments on my piano playing afterwards though.

Watched x factor yesterday - what happened to Journey South?!?

Mmmm can smell roast beef! yum! we would have had it yesterday but mum forgot to turn the oven on before we went to church so had to have emergency chicken breasts! Am looking forward to tonight though - yay Yorkshire Puddings!

Sadly Steve Davis lost the UK masters final yesterday he was beaten by an 18 year old from China - its just not right that people younger than me keep winning stuff!

Goughy!!!

Well last night was the night i'm sure you've all been waiting for . .... The FINALS! woohoo! Unfortunately i was out so had to record both - how typical is that. Oh well i have watched Strictly and well done Goughy - always knew he could do it - plus wanted him to win from the beginning.

I don't know the X Factor result yet - so no one tell me! sorry those that texted me yesterday i couldn't read them till 12:30 am incase you mentioned the results - good job too! Becci i still haven't read all of yours as you began to mention x factor so couldn't scroll down.

Went to the Showjumping at Olympia yesterday - it was on Grandstand if you happened to see it. Was good fun though the girl that won the shetland pony grand national (she was about 10) fell off on her lap of honour - poor thing! Then had most dissapointing dinner in Garfunkles restaurant at Victoria Station - i had chicken and ribs (one of my most favouritist meals) but the ribs were icky! oh well got a free desert! Had an exciting moment on way to train - there is a paperchase shop in the station! Becci i think you should come!

Anyway i realise this isn't a very interesting post really sorry. am excited as its my church's carol service tonight yay! plus we're going carol singing on Friday outside the station - wo soo much singing this year. Hopefully it won't be like this morning - we had the slowest version of o little town of Bethlehem i've ever heard!

Eek mum just reading newspaper saw article about woman who had her nose bitten off by a seal! How awful! and also slightly random - why would you have your nose near a seal hmmm...

Reminds me to warn everyone - DO NOT PUT YOUR FINGERS OR FOR THAT MATTER ANYOTHER BODY PART NEAR SMELLON'S MOUTH! just ask Beckrum what might happen!?!

Tired!

Yawn! am soo sleepy! probably has to do with going to bed at 1:30am for 2 nights in a row and then getting up at 7:15am this morning. Was worth it though as made it to morning prayer meeting - though Ben did manage (i think deliberately) to insult all women!

Last night was v coolies! Thanks for coming (if you did obviously - if not where were you?).

Favourite discovery - Alison has stupidly huge hand span - especially between her middle and ring fingers! Freaky!
Most dissapointing moment - being lynched by my housemates during Mafia - i was a Villager you fools!
Most shocking moment - discovering that Matt cheated in said game of Mafia - am not impressed.
Most frustration inducing moments - the dead refusing to keep quiet!
Favourite food consumed - Orange cream quality street - Thanks Jamie! (you see have moved on from Strawberry already!)
Most insulting moment - Bev saying that Eggbert the "not so scary monster" was my closest living relative - am still deeply crushed!

Today was long! had to drive home though made it in under 4 hours yay! only had a couple of complete idiots driving way too close behind me - which is better than most journeys. Only had to stop twice and neither time was i desperate for the loo!

I think Steve Davis may just have won the snooker judging by my Dad's shouting from downsairs - congratulations Steve!

Hmmm my feet are cold my slippers appear to have fallen off grrrr!

am going to show jumping tomorrow yay! which means i get a bacon buttie for breakfast yum....mmm...yum! Can't decide whether to take bannana flavour milk drink thingy or vanilla ice cream flavour...eek!

Skipping?!?

Well my day ended with skipping down the middle of Pentyrch Street yesterday, great fun indeed though surprisingly tiring - am sooo unfit despite many gym sessions this year. Hrumph!

Much crazy fun was had last night - alas the last open house of the year sob! How cool are the Letty Street girls for letting us come and eat all their roses (obviously of the chocolate variety). Though did make me slightly hyper for the evening ooops!

Favourite conversation: Mould - which shop's bread produces the best?
Favourite game: One of the many strange versions of wink murder that didn't involve winking!
Favourite rose consumed: Strawberry Cream mmmm!
Most dissappointing moment: Waving to the lounge from the kitchen and no-one waving back, obviously the kitchen was where all the cool people were!
Most squashed moment: sitting on a 2 seater sofa with Becci, Matt and Simon - Squidge!
Most annoying moment: having to make a 2nd trip to the loo and losing my seat.

Liverpool!

Yay! Liverpool have reached the finals of the world club championship wooohooo they are so good! You see unlike Man utd they're still in Europe as well! Anyway just had to share that joyous news! Am sooo tired - late night catching up with me. Urgh Becci just made me eat a frozen pea yuck! need drink but can't reach it on the table noooooooo!
Becci: " frozen peas are yummy! so addictive...."

Hmmm obviously living with a mad woman!
