Wednesday! (OK so i couldn't think of a title!)

I feel i should write a new post though am struggling with inspiration! Don't worry though I'm sure it will come so you can have no fear in reading on!

I was going to post about this on Saturday but i forgot so will do it now:

"He's big, he's red, his feet hang out the bed, Peter Crouch, Peter Crouch!" - I had cause to sing this little ditty on Saturday as he scored the winning goal in Liverpool's FA cup match against Man Utd. The other incident of note during the game was Alan Smith breaking his leg and dislocating his ankel OUCH! It looked really bad - apparently the worst Alex Fergusson has ever seen! But this did not detract from my joy of beating the moan!

My singing led Beckrum to make up a song about me but it really didn't fit too well with the rhyme as my name is just too long however, Beckrum's fits well:

"She's thin, she's Brummie, she owes us lots of money, Becci Noake, Becci Noake"

I feel its time for another Stargate quote:
Jack: "Daniel"
Daniel: "yes"
Jack:"I'm going to pass out now"

See it really is a great show - everyone should watch it! We are going through a bit of a Sci Fi craze in our house at the moment as we work our way throught the boxsets of Roswell, Smallville and of course Stargate. Other boxsets not yet embarked on are Spooks and Hustle as well as CSI (though i have been watching these on my own). Do we own too many DVDs?

There was a power cut during the night last night - I know this because my alarm didn't go off this morning. The clock had unset itself which it does when you unplug the radio therefore it must have not had power for a bit. Luckily i have a day off today so i didn't need to get up for anything!
Eeek its nearly 12 and i haven't done any work yet plus i need to get the notice sheets done so i can copy them on my way to prayer meeting.

I enjoy Stargate, though it's ages since I've watched it properly. I'm usually out on Sunday afternoons when it's on TV, and aren't bothered enough to get the DVDs. Life is busy enough!

I'm also a big fan of Spooks, although again, I haven't seen much of it since coming to uni, and I've only caught a couple of episodes of Hustle.

Have you been watching "Life on Mars"? The two episodes I've seen have been good, but my lounge is invaded by Talybonties for hallgroup on Mondays, so I'm not able to watch it then.

Ah well, fortunately there's more to life than television, so it's not too much of a loss that I don't see them all. The new series of Doctor Who will be starting in April, and I'll go out of my way to watch every episode of that, though! There are rumours that the last story may see a Cybermen vs Daleks showdown, which would be very exciting.

By the way, if you finish all those, I'd also recommend "Firefly", a sci-fi drama by Josh Whedon. A friend of mine lent the DVD set to me, and it's very good - a kind of Western in space. It's a much more believable, rough-around-the-edges future setting than something like Star Trek. The strength lies in the characters.

ok, so here is the rhyme about Vickrum:

She's tall
She's blonde
Her legs are very long
Vick-errr-rum, Vick-errr-rum

(or alternatively, Victoriaaa, Victoriaaaaaaa...)

Stargate - GAH! (in the word of Becky Lamb)
