Forms

I had a day of filling in forms yesterday, the major one being my masters application. It's now in the post so hopefully I'll hear whether or not I have got a place in the not too distant future. But all this question answering got me thinking about some of the pointless ones you so often get asked. For example on a form aboput the proposed CPZ around our house there was the question: "do you consider yourself to be Welsh?"

The first thing of note here is that they are not asking whether or not you are Welsh but whether you think you are which could cause problems for some people with split personalities or something. But more to the point does this actually affect your parking ability? - now I could be really rude and say that it obviously does as Welsh people can't park or something of that ilk (ooo unusual word) but I won't. So why bother asking?

It also seems to be getting more and more ridiculous the number of different ethnic IDs you can choose from, I'm always tempted to check (ooo American term oops, tick) the 'other' option and put human. So far I haven't done this rebellious option.

Anyway I guess some of you have had similar stupid/pointless questions to answer too. I should probably go home now - can you believe I've been woking in the library/ computer room for 3 hours! Argh just had flash back of the exam paper I got given this morning ready for after Easter - I have been trying to block it from my mind as it is too awful to contemplate. Oh well all's fun in exams and coursework - no wait that can't be right?!?
